"She found a Queen without a King"
What's New
And the sun is shining!!! Amazing!!
It would be nice to have some heat, but I'll take this over
muggy anyday. I don't turn on the heat until my fingers are too numb to type. My
idiosyncrosy. My idiocy. I have Zoot locked up in the bedroom so I can get some work
done. From trying to catch the cursor, blocking the screen and adding numeruous characters
as he steps on the keyboard, he is in short a distraction. I love the little guy
but he's a pain in the ass when you have to get some work done. It's odd. He sees
the cursor and screen changes but doesn't see another cat when he looks in the mirror.
I guess that's what you get when you have a brain the size of a walnut.
I have no energy. Although that is not new, I did want to get
some things done on the new site this weekend and am waiting for the creative wave
to crest and ride it in for a few hours of coding. So it goes. I have something like
36 hours before I have to be back at the mines, so I think I'll have enough time
for it all. I think I'll take a nap after I post this.
Hopped on the axe last night. Not practicing gets ya. I could
hardly chord much less carry a run. OH well. Still haven't gotten any new tuneage
so I'm just jamming to old tunes I memorized a decade ago. Passes the time and playing
with distortion is fun.
I espied a nice looking gap in the Cascades this week. Probably
has a road going through it. The day is coming when I'm going to point Skippy
The Evil Twin towards that gap, roll on the throttle and see where it goes. Yesterday,
I was doing errands after work, and the road was dry. So, in 2nd or 3rd (I can't
remember now) I goosed the throttle. Shazaam!!!! That thing for it's size will blow
your hair back!!! I have so much to learn about it's capabilities. It's nice to know
that kind of power and acceleration are there. Can help get you out of a jam. I want
to take the Experienced Riders Course in the spring to get more info and knowledge
under my belt. 99% of the time I just lope along not using 50% of what the bike can
do. Hell. Nobody should. But, I want to know what this thing can do. When I start
getting out on the highway, I'm going to use a few miles up just letting the thing
do it's thing and finding out about the powerband in different gears.
I used to look at riders all bundled up and getting rained
on and think to myself "Why would anyone do that when they can ride in comfort
and warmth??" Well. Now I know. There is just somethihng about being out there
on that thing, driving, free, that causes the grins to come. Ya'll be safe okay?
What's On My Mind
Psychoactive meds. Blech! What an oxymoron. They make you more
of a psycho-slug.
I wish I knew. I'm going into hibernation mode. It would suit
me fine (but not my creditors) to be here until the first winds of spring blow warm.
Alack a day, @#$% my luck. I have to work. As for work, had a relatively decent week.
Got some stuff done, did some good water oiling and some disaster recovery. A 7.00A
meeting Monday will further clarify the recovery plan for our group. Can say no more.
Proprietary don't 'cha just know.
Being a stranger in a strange land. I just can't get the hang
of this.
El Nino. Lot's of fun and games in store for us you bet. CNN has a good section on it at their site. Although
it will be a short-lived phenomenon, the fun we get from it is a slap and a tickle
compared to what is coming in the future. Global Warming is going to be such a laugh
riot that starvation, complete loss of the ozone layer and monster storms and drought
ought to keep people convulsing in silly giggles for quite some time.
Stay warm and dry!!
Be Joyous!
the human race and tell them
to wake up!!!! Sheesh!! You'd think 65 million years was enough time to learn...
<some caffeine and some nicotine>
"oh yes and everyone here loves her."
