What's On My Mind...

So...It's now 0218 on the 22nd of June, 1997. Officially 37. Crap. Colette and I patched things up better since I wrote yesterday and we got showered and went out for a bite at Denny's (Wa Hoo Drew!! Living large ain't cha????) and then came home. Life in the fast lane. The Denny's here doesn't give you a free meal on your Birthday so I was kinda bummed.


Godzilla upstairs is banging around in his usual animalistic self way. Bozo. The mook must weigh about 300 pounds or there are nine of them up there. Not sure which. Just cranked up the Girls with Swamp Ophelia. Always The Girls.

I'm waiting for Ricochet to get all wired up here in town. They currently have us listed as being Under Approval/Under Construction. They use frequency hopping radio to make the connection. It will be nice to use them. You can keep logged on as long as you want and it doesn't take up a phone connection. It's $30 a month (the extra $10 for the modem rental) but since an extra phone line would be more than that, it's a deal.




What's New

I know this is the same as the above paragraph but it is also what's new with me. So fucking sue me.

Last week was a ball breaker. I've been offered a lead position on the program and I'm not sure I'll take it. I don't want to jeopardize my recovery though so I'm not sure. I don't have to decide until the first of July so I have some time yet.

I did clean my monitor at home yesterday so the thing is clear now. Wa hoo...huh??? Also cleaned the TV screen too. Nothing to exciting for me today. My desk is a complete mess and I have no desire to clean it up. I know where everything is and what is here. If it were to be cleaned I would be lost. I also think I'm coming down with Carpal Tunnel so I bought a Kensington Orbit Trackball and a wrist elevating mousepad. I put the trackball on the pad and use the wrist elevator. The trackball isn't really big enough for my hand but it will do. I wish that Logitech made a left handed Macintosh version of their optical trackball. I like the thing but being left-handed, it doesn't work for me. This trackball has three ways of setting the two buttons. The third is a combo of the two. Set one for click, one for two clicks and both for click and drag.

That's about all I have to say. Not doing much writing these days cause I don't have that much to write about. It rained all day yesterday and is supposed to rain all day today. What do you get after two days of rain in Washington? Monday.
